On this week’s Al Franken podcast, his guest is author Michael Wolff who discusses “Trump’s disastrous last year of POTUS,” which as Al puts it, “the chilling, yet hilarious saga of a deeply insane President.”

I found the (too brief) discussion of Trump's incompetence and inability to govern interesting. I think that the other Trump books published over the last several months haven't focused enough on that. That almost made me buy Wolff's book (and I did buy and read the first one).

Wait... did Wolff say that Trump thinks he represents 40-43% of the American people (at around 43:00)? He does say "in Trump's mind", but sorry to say, I still believe the number. People cannot admit they are wrong, and will fall on a sword to justify it. MAYBE as even more comes out, but the tenacity of his numbers are depressing. I guess I share Al's depression...

In fairness, as leader of the GOP, Trump does "represent" 40-43% of Americans. But that's not his base.
