My pal Mark Evanier has a link to a very good article by a pal of his, radio interviewer Paul Harris. It's largely about using fear to make your point -- sometimes commercial, sometimes social, sometimes political. It's a good overview, but particularly ratchets up a level from the point when he quotes a Brown University professor about her research into fear. And Harris's conclusion is eloquent.
So, go read it, or there's a good chance something you have in your possession and love could be taken away from you.
