This follows nicely from the video the other day of the first three Annie's performing together at a tribute concert in 1982. This is 11 years later when one of those three, Sarah Jessica Parker, now a star in her own right, appeared on the David Letterman show.
It begins with a fun, charming, somewhat goofy interview about her being in the current Playboy magazine -- though that's a bit deceptive since, as she notes later, it was just an article with her, not posing. But then at the end, he has her get up and sing The Song from her kid days when she was the third actress to star as Annie. And so she goes center stage to have fun and give a sweet performance of -- as Dave puts it, "That Annie song."
But stick with the video to the end. I won't say why.
