The Light at the Start of the Tunnel

Along with the Affordable Care Act now being the law o' the land as of January 1, there was also another new law that sneaked its way quietly in -- and that's the one that is easing out old incandescent bulbs.  It's not that they're outlawed, but that efficiency standards have raised.  It's possible that as technology changes, incandescent bults could make a comeback.



This article here on CNET discusses the situation briefly and easily.  It's not particularly techie at all.  Almost more informative than the article itself are the User Comments after.  The comments are sort of fun to read -- some of the discussion is quite informative, and much is like those hilarious commercials with James Earl Jones and Malcolm McDowell reciting online banter in tuxedos, often getting pissed off.
