More What's My Line?
With the Tony Awards the other day, I thought I might as well continue the theme. And the guest here is the famed and controversial producer David Merrick, who made among a great-many other things Hello Dolly!, Gypsy, Oliver!, Becket, Stop the World I Want to Get Off and on and on and on. Making this all the more fun is that one of the panelist is...Carol Channing, who at the time was appearing in Hello, Dolly! (and as the announcer says, had just made her 1,029th performance in the show).
Also sitting as a panelist is Mark Goodson, one of the producers of What's My Line? and countless other game shows.
If you want to jump right to David Merrick's appearance, he comes along at the 4:45 mark. But you might want to stick around because they have two Mystery Guest segments on this episode, and other other is Henry Fonda and son Peter Fonda. It starts at 15:40.
