Tonight, Friday, Comedy Central is repeating its roast of Bruce Willis. It airs at 9 PM in Los Angeles time, your mileage may vary depending on where you live in a different time zone.
I mention this for only two reasons. While I'm told that there were a few fun speeches, I only wanted to see two of them and skimmed through the broadcast. And they were both terrific. One was a surprise appearance by Willis's ex-wife Demi Moore, who I've written about having worked wit on the movie The Seventh Sign. It was very funny, with some very sharp, biting lines. But the surprise was Edward Norton, who was hilarious -- both in his theme, lines and delivery.
My suggestion is to record the show and fast-forward to those to speeches, but to each their own. If you do, Edward Norton comes on around the 49:00 mark, and she appears around 1:29.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
