Tonight on the Tony Awards, Tracy Letts won as Best Actor in a Play for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, winning the award over Tom Hanks and Nathan Lane, among others.
Yes, this is the same Tracy Letts (a member of the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago) who in 2008 won the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for writing the wonderful play, August: Osage County.
He followed this up with another of his wonderful plays (he's had six produced), Superior Donuts, which I saw here at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood.
Talented fellow, that.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
