Red letter day. I had my first Retweet by MSNBC correspondent Howard Fineman. Okay, so it wasn't about politics and instead was just a light-hearted quip about him personally, but so what? It counts. He clearly got a smile and took it how it was intended. As they say in baseball about a bloop base hit -- it'll look like a line drive in the scorecard.
He'd tweeted a few things about female country singers that showed an impressive awareness of the field. Reading them, I was reminded of once seeing a feature about CBS anchor Bob Schieffer moonlighting in a country music club, and so I wrote, "I'm waiting for Howard Fineman and Bob Schieffer to make their country duo CD! 1st song: "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be pundits."
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
