Okay, it's been a while since I've posted this picture of me and my "1000", but something occurred which made me decide to bring it back.
Monday marked the first time ever that Elisberg Industries has had at least 1,000 "unique visitors" in a day...for seven consecutive days. (I believe the previous record two days in a row. This was a full week.) Most of the daily figures have been quite a bit over the 1,000 mark -- generally in the 1,200 to 1,300 range. But Monday it was touch and go. In fact, with 10 minutes left before midnight, we were still about 20 visitors short. With the clock ticking down, our corporate officer Igor Gsaliva, accounts receivable, left the room to get a printout and finally returned to inform us that we passed the 1,000 threshold at 11:57. Seriously. (The final total for the day was 1,002. A whole two extra people to spare!) Everybody in the office had been sweating bullets, but a collective sigh was released. The caterer who brought in for the occasion, just in case, popped open the bottles, and cola was flowing everywhere. Thank you. Everyone give yourselves a pat on the back, and there'll be a little something extra in the refrigerator for you all. And whoo-hoo.
