For Pete's Sake: The Trilogy
And so, we finish our Pete Buttigieg trilogy Today.
Yesterday, I posted the video of a game show sketch when Star Trek geek fan Pete Buttigieg competed against Patrick Stewart. It came on the night when Buttigieg was guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! – and it turns out that earlier in the show, Patrick Stewart sat down as a guest to be interviewed. It’s very enjoyable and easy-going – Stewart clearly has affection for Buttigieg.
What impresses me most about it is that at one point, Patrick Stewart starts to tell what seems like an interesting story, which reminds Buttigieg of a related story in his life which he tells, and he interrupts to tell it (and it is interesting), but when he finishes, he has the presence of mind to return to Stewart to finish his story, something many interviewers do not do. And yes, Stewart’s story is fun, as well.
