Randy Rainbow has a new song parody today – and the moment I saw the title, I burst out laughing. And happily, the song and production values live up to it. Even for people who don’t know the original song it's parodying from the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat -- "Any Dream Will Do" -- it’s still a hoot. This is sort of a mash-up of two songs from the show, the second one ("Joseph's Coat") which includes a very long list of all the different colors in Joseph's coat. No, no, I mean, a very long list. Really. It was red and yellow and green and brown And scarlet and black and ochre and peach And ruby and olive and violet and fawn And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve And cream and crimson and silver and rose And azure and lemon and russet and grey And purple and white and pink and orange And red and yellow and green and brown and Scarlet and black and ochre and peach And ruby and olive and violet and fawn And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve And cream and crimson and silver and rose And azure and lemon and russet and grey And purple and white and pink and orange And blue As a bonus, here's the original song this parody is based on, "Any Dream Will Do" -- from the original concept album (long before it was a stage show), sung by David Daltrey.

Thanks, I was getting frustrated watching the video earlier because I couldn't remember the name of the song from Jesus Christ, Superstar he was using. Realizing which Rice/Webber Biblical Rock Opera the song actually came from might have helped.
