I think that John Oliver has been doing a terrific job filling in on The Daily Show. However, for those of you with withdrawal symptoms and need your Jon Stewart fix, we aims to please. An Egyptian comedian, Bassem Youssef, has appeared on The Daily Show a couple times with Stewart to discuss politics, but also his own show in Egypt that is heavily inspired by Stewart's, to whom he says he is thoroughly indebted. (Among other things, Youssef has been arrested for supposedly insulting Islam and the Egyptian president.) As a result, with Stewart now in the Middle East to direct the movie he wrote, Rosewater, he decided to return the favor. And so, here is Jon Stewart's quite-wonderful appearance in Egypt. It starts out in Arabic -- yet is still a hoot -- but around 2:30 in, veers into English. For those who prefer your comedy and discussion in Arabic, however, feel free to read the subtitles.
