Most notably, it means that I only have 455 pages to go. So...well, the end is still not quite in sight.
We're pretty heavily into the "war" part of the book at this point. Napoleon has made his way into Russia, and faced his first defeat, but are marching towards Moscow. Things don't look good for him. I suspect getting back to "peace" is not too far off.
One note for those keeping track of such things: Leo Tolstoy does not like Napoleon.
