Well, just because there's a lack of video doesn't mean we should listen to more of them. So, here's one of their gems from the original At the Drop of a Hat. This is from the Broadway recording, and is a Romeo and Juliet love story between two mismatched...plants. There are not many people who could write a love song between plants. There aren't many who would even try. And there are few who could actually make it touching. It's also just wildly smart and clever. Like all their work. Here's "Misalliance."
As I've often noted, there aren't nearly enough videos available of the Flanders & Swann, the great British team who had two revues, At the Drop of a Hat and its follow-up, aptly titled At the Drop of Another Hat. Fortunately, these exist on albums, and there's some other material, like the collection of their animal songs, The Bestiary of Flanders and Swann.
