As I type this at 12:25 PM PDT, the stock market is now 441.88 points LOWER than when Barack Obama left office and Trump took over.
At the end of the Obama administration, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 19,827.25. At the moment, it is -- 19,385.37. Down 10,166.05 points.
This is not gloating. This is horrible. It is also reality.
Fortunately, the stock market had gone up a great deal over the past three years, building on the Obama economy, so whatever drop there has been -- up to now -- has just brought us back to about where we were, which was a good place. Clearly it can go lower. Hopefully it will stabilize.
