Catching up a bit on paperwork after being out of town at CES, it was a quiet week back in January, 2012, when this monologue first appeared. Unseasonably warm weather puts those who suffer from "Pump Handle Phobia" at ease. Plus, Mr. Hansen lends a hand around the neighborhood while his wife visits her sister in Florida, and reveals an unusual secret.

Keillor's voice is magical. Like a cousin or uncle you can't forget.

Thanks for your note. I first learned of Garrison Keillor when my brother lived in St. Paul and would write me about this guy who did a then-local radio show called "A Prairie Home Companion." When I went to visit, we attended a show at the World Theater, and I still have some souvenirs from that visit. But Keillor at that tme was a DJ and also had a regular drive-time FM radio show on, I believe, KSJR, which we listened to every morning.
