Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) has famously been very reticent to do media interviews since first being elected to office, limiting his appearances to interviews within the state and on rare occasion when he's been directly involved in an issue, like Net Neutrality.
Tonight (Wednesday), however, he is going to be a guest on the David Letterman Show. I suspect this has to do with Letterman ending his show, and Franken agreeing to make a last appearance.
