Donegan the Second

The other day, I posted a video here that was a follow-up to the great video from the British version of The Voice.  That was where a young singer, Peter Donegan (who is the son of British early-rock legend Lonnie Donegan) was selected in the blind audition by Tom Jones...who had himself toured with Lonnie Donegan -- who had written one of Tom Jones' big hits, "I'll Never Fall in Love Again."  And then Jones and Donegan the son teamed up to sing a duet of the father's song.  In the follow-up video I posted last week (which includes a link for those who missed it, but you can watch it directly here), I embedded several videos of Lonnie Donegan, so people could see what he was all about.

This is a sequel of sorts to the follow-up, with two wonderful videos.

In this first, Peter Donegan describes the behind-the-scenes story about how his now-famous appearance on The Voice took place, along with video from that original performance.

And even more fun, this is an 2002 TV interview with Lonnie Donegan that's interesting, open and a lot of fun, showing his sense of humor that Tom Jones alludes to on The Voice.  And then, jointing him on the couch is his 18-year old son...Peter!  And then later, the two perform a song together!

It's all terrific, but if you just want to watch the material with Peter and Lonnie Donegan together, you can jump to the 6:30 mark.
