The other day, when I wrote about "Fox News" job-shaming the actor Geoffrey Owens for working at the very nice grocery chain Trader Joe's, I noted about all the positive attention he himself was getting, and I added, "It's my hope that the attempt by 'Fox News' to meaningless 'shame' someone living under the wire and out of the spotlight, like pretty much everyone in the world, backfires in a big way and ends up getting an actor more work than he would have had otherwise."
It turns out that that appears to be a case. And a "feel bad" story is possibly moving towards "feel good." Here's a segment that Good Morning America did about him, including news of a job offer. And he'll be a guest later today on Ari Melber's show, The Beat, on MSNBC at 3 PM in Los Angeles and 6 PM, East Coast time.
