Well-worth Reading
Excellent article by Tom Kludt and Oliver Darcy on CNN's website about the ghastly mistake MSNBC made in firing Sam Seder as a commentator over a joke he tweeted eight years ago -- the joke was dripping with heavy sarcasm over Roman Polanaski, and the network clearly missed all the blatant sarcasm or didn't care. Making the story worse is that the faux-outrage over Seder was ginned up by the same white supremacist behind the phony "pizzagate" conspiracy story.
Horrible as MSNBC's judgement is here, perhaps worse (as the article notes) is how the network's actions have emboldened this pizzagate man into doing attacks like this even more.
If MSNBC had any sense in the matter, they'd swallow their pride, admit a mistake and bring Seder back. I don't expect that. But I live in hope.
