Today's Piano Puzzler
We have a new one this week, not from the archives. The contestants today are Laura Pawuk and Rick Adler from Ypsilanti, Michigan. I surprised myself by being right with the composer style. And like the contestants, when it came to the hidden song, I was “stumped.” Even when composer Bruce Adolph played it a second time to bring the song out more. But then even host Fred Childe didn’t have a clue. Including when Adolph just started playing passages. I finally got it – and it’s incredibly well-known -- but then, everyone else was still (surprisingly) stumped. As well-known as the song is, it is so well-hidden that it’s buried. In fact, even knowing the song, when he played it again all the way through, I couldn’t hear it. Only when he had focused it to bring the song out. So, good luck!
