Okay, so this is what I mean.
When I said that this isn't a matter of two different opinions that are poles apart, but rather it's dealing with a fantasy world that doesn't exist with any basis in reality, and you can't debate delusional, I really meant it. You'll recall at the end of my post this morning, I tossed in a final addendum that had just occurred, when some fellow named "Gordon Turner" wrote me a Tweet that said, "Trump is brilliant and Supreme Court upheld both his travel bans." I noted that I have no idea how one responds to something like that," The best I could do is simply and politely write back -- "I believe you have mis-read the two court decisions & appellate ruling that all blocked the bans which have never been before Supreme Court." Very simple, very polite. But this is what we are dealing with in the world today. This is what the dear fellow wrote back. And this time I'm embedding his Tweet so that you can actually see it and know I'm not making this up --
No, really, that's what he wrote. It's not even a question of "How do you reply to that?" -- because I think the best answer is you call 911. But you can't debate delusional. Of course, what one would love to write back is something along the lines of -- "What on earth are you talking about??? It's my observation that you are living in an alternative universe with no standing in reality. Seriously. Is this what you actually believed happened? Is this truly how you believe the court system works?? Really??! It's not -- it's just NOT. Let's put it this way: if what you somehow think is true, and the Supreme Court upheld the first Trump ban...then why in the world did they come back with a second try?? And why was there an appellate court hearing in the first place -- why blocked the ban?? These aren't rhetorical questions. Please, answer them, I'll wait. And you do understand, I do hope, that right now the Supreme Court only has eight members and is largely deadlocked 4-to-4, so even if the court system works as you believe in your fevered dreams, the Supreme Court couldn't "automatically" support Trump because...as I said...It's deadlocked. Tied. So, that means the ruling would revert to the previous court -- which BLOCKED the ban!!! And okay, while your're at it, if passage is automatic why is there even an appeals court? Why is there even a court system??!!! The second attempted Trump ban was blocked by the court. It -- was -- blocked -- by -- the court. Trump himself later said he would appeal the decision up to the Supreme Court. So, clearly even he knows it's not "automatic," not just "Libtards" know it. (And how lovely of you to act silly and try to demean those you hate. It speaks so well of you. Though just know that when you end up having to stoop to name-calling, it tends to mean you've run out of valid things to say..) My only suggestion is that in the future you not use words like "It's understood," when the concept of understanding has clearly eluded you. I do believe you are spending too much time watching Kellyanne Conway. "Alternative facts" aren't real. There was no massacre at Bowling Green. And you really, truly, honestly don't have a clue what you're talking about. Really. No, seriously." Unfortunately that doesn't fit into 140-characters. But that's the world out there. This is not about polar opposite viewpoints. This about about reality and the world of fantasy. You can't debate delusional.
