Being a REALLY Good Sport

A quick heads-up to any of my good pals at the Huffington Post if they're reading --

The disastrous tax bill just passed adding $1.5 Trillion to the debt, Trump is being investigated for Russia ties as his former National Security Advisor pleaded guilty, & a child molester may be elected to the senate -- and your *headline story* is on Eli Manning?? And the 2-10 New York Giants firing their coach? SERIOUSLY, GUYS??!!!

As readers of these pages know, I love sports. But -- I mean, geez, get a grip! It's not just that there are countless stories far, far, far bigger than this for the homepage news, let alone the top headline, but also -- and it's not even that sports fans in general don't care about this as THE top major headline story, even necessarily on the sports page -- but I have friends from New York who are big Giants fans, and the team stinks so much this year that they they don't care all that much about the team right now! (Yes, this will perhaps help change that, but not only have they mostly tuned out, but this firing has been expected for the past month.)

Sigh...
