A Twist of Lemmon

This is the 1996 Kennedy Center Honors for Jack Lemmon. It's always a tricky thing honoring actors, since the profession doesn't lend itself as easily to an entertainment as when the honoree is a singer, dancer or musician. So, that part of the evening is a bit thin, though they do a respectable job with the Harvard Hasty Pudding and Harvard Glee Club, that includes an homage of sorts to Some Like It Hot. What stands out, however, is the speech by host Kenneth Branaugh and wonderful video filled with such great film clips. By the way, the fun music that ends the viewing (starting around the 7:15 mark) is the closing music from The Fortune Cookie.
