The Holiday Music Fest

This song most definitely fits perfectly into the very point of the Holiday Music Fest -- f a lovely Christmas song that's not well-known.  It's from the musical She Loves Me written by Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock -- which is certainly very recognizable -- but was cut from the show and never recorded.  So, yes, I'd say there is an incredibly good chance most people haven't heard it.

As Harnick says in the liner notes of his terrific Hidden Treasures double-CD, it was felt that a Christmas song would fit well into the show as the story had developed, and so they wrote this new number, "Christmas Eve."  Everyone liked the song, but with its specific placement and staging, it just stopped things dead, and was dropped.
