This article from C/NET offers great advice for shoppers at malls this holiday season who might unsuspectingly access "free" public Wi-Fi, unwaware that they're really logging onto fraudulent access points that allow their accounts to be hacked.

It's actually great advice, period, whether during the holidays or at a mall, just public Wi-Fi in general, full of easy tips to protect yourself.  Plus the article includes some fascinating stories about real-life hacks by people who set them up to prove a point and ultimately protect people -- including one by an 11-year-old boy who won a Science Fair by proving how easy it is to fake Wi-Fi portals at a mall.
