If you've put off upgrading to Windows 10, mainly out of concern about what it is and how the upgrading process works, my pal Ed Bott has a comprehensive article about it all today on ZDNet.  "Windows 10: You've got questions, I've got answers."  As he writes at the very beginning -- 

"There's more to Windows 10 than just the revamped Start menu. This FAQ includes details about the first big update, Windows 10 version 1511, released in November 2015, as well as information on how to control automatic upgrades."

Parts of it are a little high-techie geek, but you can skip those since they're describing features meant for people who will be using certain high-techie geek features that most mortal humans will never touch, like the Business Enterprise edition.  But most of the article is Pure Bott, very clear explanations of techie matters, filled with graphics to help make things more clear.
