Yesterday, “JD Vance” attempted to slam 'the Libs' by saying, “If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everyone who disagrees with you is a Nazi… look in the mirror.”
Just to be clear, as "Vance" once again tries to obfuscate reality and flim-flam the public to hopefully forget --
It was “JD Vance” himself who called Trump an "American Hitler"!!! And Trump was so OK with that, he selected him to be his running mate.
Just this week, Trump adviser Stephen Miller gave a eulogy which literally paraphrased Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbel's "The Storm is Coming". And no party official nor member was disturbed to raise a voice of complaint.
Just last year, the MAGOP candidate for governor in North Carolina described himself a “Black Nazi.” And Trump endorsed him.
After a tiki torch rally of American Nazis denouncing Jews, Trump said that there were "very fine people" on both sides.
The American Nazi party and other white supremacist organizations are embraced into the MAGOP base. And when asked to denounce the groups, Trump told them to "Stand back -- and stand by."
To dehumanize opponents, Trump not only echoes the words of Adolf Hitler, saying that immigration is "poisoning the blood of our country." And how party adversaries “live like vermin." But the party cheers him for it at rallies.
And "JD Vance" himself called Trump an "American Hitler". You can't repeat saying that enough.
No, of course the left does not even remotely “tell its supporters that everyone who disagrees with you is a Nazi.” But trying to sucker the public and lying is second nature to “JD Vance”, born James Donald Bowman, then James David Hamel, then James David Vance, then J.D. Vance. After all, he’s the con man who kept claiming that immigrants in Ohio (his own state he swore an oath to represent) who were stealing family dogs and cats and eating them – despite being told by the mayor of the town that it was untrue.
What is true is there are people on the left and in the middle who do call some on the right “Nazis.” That’s because those people who are called this actually, quite literally embrace Nazis.
And to be very clear, I don’t think MAGOPs as a party are Nazis. Nor do I think Trump is an “American Hitler,” like “JD Vance” does. Even if there are some Nazis and Nazi language embraced by the MAGOP, and even if MAGOPs support some un-American authoritarian, fascist actions -- and I don't say this facetiously, Hitler and Nazis are a very different thing. Hitler and the Nazis built literal camps specifically to round up and gas to death six million Jews and others. Hitler and the Nazis actually started a war in an effort to literally take over the world.
That said, if you don’t like being called a Nazi – then don’t call your party leader an “American Hitler,” don’t have advisors to your party leader paraphrase Nazi speeches, don’t use Nazi language, don’t endorse candidates who call themselves Nazis, don’t embrace Nazis, and don't tell the Nazis to stand by. It’s a pretty easy concept.
Similarly, if you don’t like being called fascist – which is accurate, by every book definition of fascism – then don’t act like a fascist and push fascist policies.
And here’s an easy starting point to follow, since it’s the very First Amendment in the Bill of Rights and therefore almost impossible to miss by anyone, except those so blind as he will not see – if you don’t like being called a fascist, don’t try to use the government to try to coerce and silence free speech, critics, comedians and others.
And if you want to stop language that promotes political violence – which is very proper thing to put a stop to – then criticize anyone who promotes political violence, even when it’s the TV network who is your party’s mouthpiece, like when they have a host say that homeless people should be “euthanized” and “killed” and yet isn't rebuked by the management…or by you…(especially if, just days after, 13 people are shot at a homeless camp) and have a host who says that the United Nations building should be blown up (especially when it’s because he claims the U.N. stopped an escalator and screwed up the TelePrompter for your party’s leader – and all the more so when it turns out it was your party leader’s own team that did both).
On almost every level, it’s long-time grifter “JD Vance” who should be the one to look in the mirror. But most especially because – to repeat, and it just cannot be repeated enough -- he actually called Trump an “American Hitler.”
However, I can at least understand why "JD Vance" doesn't want to look in the mirror. The truth can sometimes be far too painful. But then, there might even be another reason, too: he doesn't want it known that he won't see a reflection.
