Puppy Love

Mojo was a pit bull Amstaff mix.  The three-month old puppy was in bad shape, with a case of mange so bad that his hair had all fallen out, and he was covered with sores, having difficulty even eating.  When he was turned into Joey Wagner of the Baie Ste, Marie Animal Society in Nova Scotia  it was clear how much trouble the dog was in, but as Wagner told CBC News, "The look he gave me, I knew that he wanted to live.  So, we did everything we could."

Wagner brought Mojo to veterinarians at the Atlantic Vet College, and then tried to raise money on Facebook for the dog's medical needs.  He also wrote about the year-and-a-half experience he and Mojo have been through..

Eventually, Wagner came back to the clinic to discover not just that Mojo had made an impressive improvement, but how joyfully the dog remember the person who had saved him and stood by him.  Soon after, Mojo was healthy enough to leave the clinic, and Wagner adopted him.
