Here's to His Health and Happiness

Writer-actor Lin-Manuel Miranda won a Pulitzer Prize today for his rap-musical phenomenon, Hamilton, about the life of Alexander Hamilton.  So, I thought the best way to offer congratulations and honor him is to bring back perhaps the best wedding video when he married his wife, Vanessa, six years ago.  I've probably watched this a dozen times at least, and it has yet to be anything but endearing and enthralling

And as a bonus, here's an interview with him on CBS Sunday Morning, conducted by Mo Rocca, who brings up the video, and we get a little bit of background information on it.  As for additional background information. when I first saw this video years ago, I sent a link of it to Sheldon Harnick, the lyricist of Fiddler on the Roof, who co-wrote the song.  He said he was aware of the video -- that's because he served on a Dramatist Guild committee with Lin-Manuel Miranda, who he said he likes very much, and that Miranda had asked permission to use the song.  Not that permission was necessary, but it was a gracious thing to do.  And so Harnick knew about this before it took place.
