Go U, NU -- the Update

Well, unfortunately, I was right about Northwestern being overrated and the worst 10-2 team in the country.  They lost the Outback Bowl to Tennessee, 45-6.

I take some comfort knowing that Iowa got crushed in the Rose Bowl against Stanford -- and Northwestern actually beat Stanford during the season.  So, that's like a moral victory in the Rose Bowl...  And in the end, having a year where you're 10-3 and were rated #12 at the end of the regular season is not shabby.  Most especially for a team with Northwestern's long history of being dismal -- which includes the longest losing streak in college football history.
