Where There's a Will...

Fifty years ago, owner Charlie Finley of the Kansas City A's (before they moved to Oakland) put on a promotional stunt where shortstop Bert Campeneris played a different position in each of the nine innings of a baseball game.

As sort of an homage to that, but mainly as a charity stung as part of a Funny or Die special being made for HBO, Will Ferrell today is going to play a different position (and be a DH) for 10 different teams during Spring Training.  One of those teams will be the Chicago Cubs.  When asked if he had any advice for Ferrell, Cubs catcher Miguel Montero said, "Wear a cup."

Here's an article about it.  (The page also includes a video of some of Ferrell's past baseball-related stunts.)

Major League Baseball has provided a page for Live Look-ins, but I haven't been able to embed it.  But if you have an MLB GameDay account, here's the link.

If you watch SportCenter on ESPN later today, however, I'm sure they'll have footage.  If I come across a video of the coverage, I'll try to post it here...
