Wait, Wait...
On this week’s ‘Not My Job’ segment of the NPR quiz show Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!, the guest is Janet Yellen. Yes, that Janet Yellen. The Treasury Secretary of the United States. And former chair of the Federal Reserve Board. And former chair of the Council of Economic Advisers under Bill Clinton. So, yeah, there’s that. She was in Chicago to speak to the Economic Club, but host Peter Sagal notes that he probably has questions for her that they didn’t. Like, “What do you do??” Indeed, as you might imagine from that, Sagal conducts a very entertaining interview with her – in fact, I’d say unexpected. It’s a conversation that brings out some funny stories, including one on her legendary drive to prepare and another about her love of mobile phone games, to the point of near-addiction.
This is the full Wait, Wait… broadcast, but you can jump directly to the “Not My Job” segment, it starts around the 18:00 mark.
