Over the weekend, Fox aired a pre-recorded interview with Trump that appeared to be heavily edited, like cutting off sentences.  This would seem to suggest a deep problem for Trump, since it seems to point a growing issue for the convicted felon – that his degenerating early dementia is causing him to say much that even a supportive outlet like Fox understands shows his mental failings so prominently.

Further, what the interview did include was material that itself might be deeply problematic for him, as well.  (Which reinforces the question about how bad was the material edited out.  Such as talking about hit mass deportation plans of Mexicans which, he acknowledged might include mothers and other innocent people who’d done nothing wrong.

But I think the worst problem for him – because it points to problems overlapping a lot of areas.

If you asked people to name the one thing they remember from Trump’s 2016 campaign against Hillary Clinton – an issue or a phrase – I think that two would lead the list.  One, an issue, and the other a phrase.  The issue is that he said that he would build a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and get Mexico to pay for it.  And the other, the one phrase that people would most remember, was Trump saying, “Lock her up!” so much that at a certain point, he only had to mention Hilary Clinton’s name, and it would trigger his crowds to start chanting it.

Well…on that Fox interview the other day, Trump – realizing, no doubt, that he was now a convicted felon and at risk of prison, told the interviewers that the never said, “Lock her up.”

No, really.  Honest.  (Note:  the “honest” part is me being honest, not Trump…)  And even saying, “No, really.  Honest,” I’m sure there might be people who think I’m perhaps exaggerating or taking him out of context.  No, really.  Honest.

Let’s go to the tape.  Check it out at the :30 mark.
