Two Weeks Notice
Last Friday, Trump was what he would do if Putin did not come to table to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He answered -- "We’re going to see whether or not they have a meeting, that will be interesting to see, and if they don’t, why didn’t they have a meeting? Because I told them to have a meeting." But most importantly, he then he added the standard Trump topper --
“But I’ll know in two weeks what I’m going to do."
And there it is! The trademarked Trump "in two weeks" gambit!
Just as a reminder, as we wander through memory lane, Trump stated that “We have a buyer for TikTok, by the way.” He was asked who the buyer was. Trump answered, “I'll tell you in about 2 weeks.” That was on June 29, seven weeks ago. There’s no buyer.
Trump said Melania would have a press conference on her immigration status in 2 weeks. That was nine years ago!
He said he'd reveal his health care plan in two weeks. That was five years ago. (Making the story even more pointed -- at the time, July 19, 2020, he called it his "Big beautiful health care bill." Yes, really! And a bill so "big" and "beautiful" that after five years it remains, as noted, non-existent.)
