Two More Counties Reporting...
As readers here well-know, I’ve long written since Trump’s first term in office that professional psychologists have said that Trump has long been showing signs of early dementia (which is dementia, but the person is still able to function). This article today isn’t especially necessary, because 1) I think the issue at this point is obvious, and 2) there’s been a growing number bit of support from notable sources beyond the professional psychologists who are now finally saying that Trump is showing signs of dementia (or if they can’t say that word, at least are saying the more genteel “cognitive decline”. Still, these two new voices stand out, though for completely different reasons.
The first comes from Trump’s niece Mary Trump – who herself is a clinical psychologist, so she brings that area of expertise, but more importantly brings a family perspective. And that’s especially notable because her grandfather, Trump’s father, suffered from dementia.
“There are times I look at him and I see my grandfather,” she said. “I see that same look of confusion. I see that he does not always seem to be oriented to time and place. His short-term memory seems to be deteriorating.”
She adds that Trump has a similar “deer in the headlights” look that she has seen in both men.
“I see this look in his eyes sometimes, like he can’t believe he said this," she continued. "He can’t believe he admitted this thing. He doesn’t know who he’s talking to. He doesn’t know where he is.”
This stood out the other day when Trump fell asleep in the Oval Office during a press event, and then when someone collapsed behind him, Trump stood up, looked over for a moment, and then did nothing, other than stare vacantly off.
But it’s the other source that leaps out almost more. Not for any expertise, because he had none. But for it being said back in 2018 -- and being written by someone Trump as described as his "best friend," who would have had more opportunities than most to observe Trump up close and on a regular basis.
That would be "Jeffrey E."

Man, when Jeffrey Epstein notices behavior so off-kilter and aberrant that it leaps out to him so uncomfortably he feels it needs to be addressed, the condition has got to have had a lot of synapses misfiring seven years ago.
And dementia is degenerative.
