Today's Adorable Animal Video
It’s the joyous return of Mark Rober!
Readers here likely remember the trilogy of remarkable and wildly fun videos he made of Rube Goldberg-like obstacle courses that squirrels needed to accomplish to get treats. If you haven’t seen them (or want to see them again, because they are so tremendously clever and fun), do yourself a favor and watch them here --
This time, after having one-too-many run-ins with crows at his house, he decides to set-up an incredibly elaborate obstacle course test for a pet crow to find out how smart crows might actually be.
This – again – is great fun, down to a moment and quip at the very end.
One note: He has a bunch of ads for his own “how to be an engineer and design these sort of things yourself” toys for kids built into the 23-minute video. But he’s so enthusiastic about engineering design, and it’s so worthwhile that he’s creating fun ways for kids to learn, and the ads are fairly short and even a bit entertaining – and ultimately if it’s part of watching his tremendously entertaining and elaborate videos – it’s worth it and a small price to pay.
