With the tragic suicide of country singer Mindy McReady, that marked five death of participants in the series Celebrity Rehab in its two years on the air.

"It is with heartbreak" that executive producers "have decided to cease all future production on the series."

"Safety is always of paramount concern. We maintained the highest safety standards throughout production, higher in fact than any protocols existing," the executive producers said, adding that the show had "many fewer incidents than occur" normally. "While we maintained the highest safety standards possible, accidents unfortunately happen, and it is impossible to guarantee they won’t in the future. Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision."

Oh, wait, I'm sorry.  Those quotes are from David Milch and Michael Mann last year about their show, Luck.  That series, in the world of horse racing, "only" had three related deaths in it two seasons.

Y'know, just maybe Celebrity Rehab isn't the greatest venue for seriously-troubled people to participate on, with a national audience watching their traumas.
