Thanks to the inveterate Chris Dunn for bringing this to my attention.
In a response to Mitch McConnell saying he believes the women who had brought child molestation allegations against Roy Moore, the Alabama candidate for the U.S. Senate tweeted a reply --
Well, much thanks goes to a Twitter user who uses the handle "Plain Old Stripes" (from @burgotastic) and deserves full credit for his spot-on observation. He posted a response to Mr. Moore.
And what he replied was that, of course, Bring It On is a movie about (wait for it...) high school girls. So, no wonder that phrase was Roy Moore's immediate point of reference.
