The Second Happiest Woman in America
Last month, Maya Rudolph received a whopping three Emmy nominations (and "whopping" is the appropriate word), including one for "Outstanding Guest Actress" from her appearances on Saturday Night Live playing Kamala Harris in sketches during the Democratic presidential primary.
It will not come as a shock to learn that Ms. Rudolph's name was trending on Twitter yesterday, and she spoke with thrilled anticipation about the likelihood of her making some new guest appearances on the show once it goes back into production.
I believe that this was the first debate sketch she appeared it. But then, the whole thing was a lot of fun. (In fact, my favorite line might be from Colin Jost -- in a rare acting performance -- as Pete Buttigieg when asked why he was polling so poorly with black voters.)
