The Return of Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel once again delivers a powerful, passionate monologue on the gun massacre in Las Vegas. It's made all the more poignant given that he's a native of the city.
Considering that he built his reputation on crude, fairly-infantile things like The Man Show, his thoughtful presentations, growth and transformation -- whether you agree with with he's saying or not (and if you don't, wait a moment as I finish unclenching my typing fingers...okay, done -- is remarkable. And timely.
By the way, lest it go unappreciated, it's an impressive skill too to go come monologues this moving and serious, as were those on health care (though he was able to inject some humor in those), and be able to make a u-turn and deliver an entertaining comedy show.
