If you didn’t see it, Jon Stewart showed up again on Stephen Colbert's show last night, not as a guest, but he was given The Anchor Desk, and did a wonderful rant for about 10 minutes.
What you don’t see on the video below is what comes right before it. Colbert mentions Roger Ailes resigning, and says that “As much as I spent 10 year slamming him, slamming his network and slamming for the damage they did to the world, I take no pleasure in this.” Then he asks the director to please move the camera off him. It pans away to show an empty stage – and you then hear the audience suddenly ROAR in cheers. You can sort of see a shadow at the desk moving around. And then the camera moves back – which takes us to this:
