The Late Election Results are In

Back in September of last year, you may remember seeing a remarkable and joyous video where most of the cast of The West Wing reunited.  It turned out to be a wildly entertaining spot to promote the Michigan Supreme Court candidacy of Bridget Mary McCormack -- the sister of West Wing cast member Mary McCormack (who later starred in the USA Network series, In Plain Sight).

There's a point to all this.  But first, if you didn't see the video, here it is.  If you did see the video, it's so worth watching again.  (And again.)

My first reaction was that Mary McCormick must be an extremely nice person.  Because a lot of people came through with really big favors for her.

(It's worth noting that, what helped too is that Bridget Mary McCormack, the candidate, has an impressive resume all on her own, which everyone was happy to support.)

Anyway, so that's the video.  Wonderfully done and wonderful to see.  Very belatedly, though, it dawned on me only this morning to wonder something.  What in the world happened in that election??

The votes are in.

Bridget Mary McCormack won.

I suspect few candidates for state judge ever got quite the same campaign promotion...
