The Holiday Music Fest

As readers of these pages know, one of my fave little-known musicals is the British show Pickwick, and I'm a big fan of its star Harry Secombe, who was one of the leads with Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan on the classic BBC radio program The Goon Show, and is best-known to U.S. audiences as 'Mr. Bumble' in another Dickens production, the Oscar-winning Best Picture Oliver!. Being based on Dickens, it is not surprising to find that some of the story of Pickwick is set at Christmas, with a very nice song by Cyril Ornadel and Leslie Bricusse that most people don't know, "That's What I'd Like for Christmas."
