With 12 days left before Christmas, it seems the ideal time to post this video of 9-1/2 minutes from the end of the musical, She Loves Me -- a sequence that begins with the song, "12 Days to Christmas." This comes from the 1993 Broadway revival that starred Judy Kuhn and Boyd Gaines, with music and lyrics by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, who a few years earlier had written Fiddler on the Roof. For those who don't know the show, it's based on the Hungarian play that serves as the basis for the movies The Shop Around the Corner and years later, You've Got Mail.

Just wonderful. I loved this production, and prefer it to the more recent revival. The newer was fine and fun but I thought it pushed a bit too hard. The 1993 revival was beautifully performed and effortlessly charming.

Don, thanks for your note. And lucky you to have seen both productions. I only saw the "streaming" version of the recent revival. I thought it was very well done, but must admit how much I like Judy Kuhn.
