The Daily Stewart This Week
If you didn't see Jon Stewart's Monday hosting of The Daily Show, it was extremely funny. A masterpiece of dripping sarcasm throughout. Which is why I thought I'd turn over the morning report to him. That, and it sort of was a companion piece to my article yesterday on MAGOP "outrage!!!!" Stewart's Main Story was about Trump's racist tweet about the Obamas, which he morphed into the far-right's "outrage" over Bad Bunny's half-time show at the Super Bowl.
It's really very funny. And scathing.
By the way, as a related addenum:
As I wrote yesterday, I know that Megyn Kelly was "outraged!!!!" that Bad Bunny sang his performance in Spanish (which, it should be noted, Trump said no one understands). What I hope is that she's asked if she would have been okay if there had been sub-titles.
If yes, then the problem is NBC, not Bad Bunny. And if no, the problem is Megyn Kelly being disingenuous. I'm going to guess that nothing would have placated her, because even if Bad Bunny had sung Broadway showtunes in English, her often-expressed racism would have surfaced just the same, since the problem for her, most probably, was that the performer, despite being an American, was Hispanic from Puerto Rico.
Now, back to Jon Stewart --
