The Daily Stewart This Week

If you didn't see Jon Stewart's Monday hosting of The Daily Show, the Main Story was about the Inauguration Day.  It's terrific, scathing and very funny.  I do have one quibble though.

At one point, he deals with the pardons that President Biden released that day, and only mentions those to his family.  And so, it comes across as being selfish and a terrible way to end his legacy.  What he leaves out, though, is that Biden also pardoned all those on the January 6 Select Committee, Gen. Mark Milley and Dr. Anthony Fauci -- people (including those in the President's family) who Trump and his FBI Director-nominee Kash Patel have all said are on their Enemies List who they might prosecute, despite no crime having been committed.  The pardons were all to protect the innocent from announced possible prosecution by the government.  It is a very unfair omission to leave out.  Stewart quickly hints at the end about prosecutions -- but it zips by and only relates to the Biden family, since the others weren't mentioned.

That aside, the "report" is wonderful.
