The Colbert Trilogy

I came across this video bit that they did on Stephen Colbert's show which was wonderful, and I don't know why I wasn't aware of it before. And it was terrific enough for what it was, but I ended up coming up with a couple of follow-up pieces they did.
It all began though with this video, which I gather was done when A Late Show did a special show after this past Super Bowl Sunday. If you want to get to the point of this all, you can just to the 1:20 mark.
As it turned out, the next day, they did a brief but very amusing follow-up to the story. Again, if you want to skip past the extraneous material, you can just to the 1:30 mark
And just to wrap it all up, a month later they did a follow-up story.
