The Circus Has Come to Town
Three quick thoughts for the day, as we head into Deep Dark Space.
Once upon a time, Nikki Haley tried hard to seem center-right. But eventually her extremist, far-right, hate-filled gene kicked in and pushed its way through to the surface. There is nothing in her statement about wanting to "deport" a black U.S. Senator/minister for no earthly reason other than he has different views from her that isn't pure fascist. And that no Republican official has even politely criticized her speaks loudly (once more) to who the party is.
Imagine for the moment if the previous owners of Twitter put out a tweet telling people to vote for Democrats. And then posted a thread of tweets explaining their reasoning.
GOP heads would explode. But the reverse is today's Twitter. Elon Musk's series of tweets telling people to vote Republican is one more step to him undermining his $44 billion investment. Even he has posted about advertisers withdrawing in huge numbers.
I was trying to think about what to write on today as we've finally hit the convoluted madhouse that is this year's Mid-Terms. And through it all, one song kept running through my head -- so I figured, wait, that's probably all that's needed at this point. Lads, the floor is yours,
