The Beauty of Bob & Ray

We haven't had any Bob & Ray for a while, so this seemed as good a time as any. And a video, no less -- and in color.

I've always loved Bob & Ray, but they endeared themselves to me even more when I wrote them a letter of appreciation 10-15 years ago or so. Their letterhead was wonderful, with (among other things) lists of their worldwide offices. Almost all the cities were international glamor spots -- London, Paris, Rome, Zurich and such. And in the middle of all these was -- Glencoe! (Where I grew up.) If I needed one more reason to love them, there it was.

I don't know if its any good, but I saw a brand new book about Bob and Ray in the biography section of my local Barnes and Noble.

Interesting. Thanks. I just looked it up -- "Bob and Ray, Keener Than Most Persons" by David Pollock. He's a very accomplished TV comedy write, who often teamed up with a friend of mine, Elias Davis. The book only has six user reviews on Amazon, but it's five stars.

By the way, the title comes from one of their recurring bits, "Mr. Trace, Keener Than Most Persons" -- which, in turn, is a parody of an old radio show, "Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons."
